In a different vein to the usual thrills and spills that take place on the renowned Silverstone race track, the Silverstone Classic is one of the biggest classic car display events of its kind in the UK.
This year’s Silverstone Classic event – taking place on 23rd – 25th July – is celebrating 60 magnificent years of the Formula One World Championship. The weekend will feature a breathtaking display of classic racing vehicles from the 50s, 60s and 70s, as well as more modern saloon, sport and touring cars from the 1920s to the 1990s.
Harley-Davidson will be at Silverstone representing the cream of the crop in motorcycles, as well as performing some wondrous on-track bike stunts for spectators. Also, 120 Classic Car Clubs have signed up to show more than 5,000 of their member’s cars at Silverstone, with all of the world’s most iconic brands on display.
The Silverstone Classic is also a family-friendly event, featuring air displays, a funfair, exhibitions, food and drink outlets and live music concerts.
All of this means that classic car fans from all over the country will be flocking to Silverstone this July. If you’ve got a ticket, the only question to ask is how will you get there?
