From January 17th, the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu in Hampshire will be hosting an exhibition of cars from the James Bond films.
Bond is best-known for his Aston Martins and the DBS from Quantum of Solace will be one of the exhibits. However, there are plenty of other cars as well, including the Jaguar XKR from Die Another Day, the BMW 750iL from Tomorrow Never Dies and the Rolls Royce Phantom III from Goldfinger – not to mention the memorable Lotus Esprit S1 submarine.
The AMC Matador from The Man With the Golden Gun will also make an appearance. In the film, Scaramanga’s car is converted into a plane at the flick of a switch thanks to some ingenious modifications. Even the dashboard changes so that there is an altimeter and other relevant aeronautic instruments.
In all, there will be more than 50 vehicles at the Bond in Motion exhibition to celebrate 50 years of James Bond films. The exhibition also marks the 40th anniversary of the National Motor Museum. It will run until December. Adult tickets are currently priced at £10. Children under 14 can get in for £5.
