The AMC Matador from The Man With the Golden Gun will also make an appearance. In the film, Scaramanga’s car is converted into a plane at the flick of a switch thanks to some ingenious modifications. Even the dashboard changes so that there is an altimeter and other relevant aeronautic instruments.

In all, there will be more than 50 vehicles at the Bond in Motion exhibition to celebrate 50 years of James Bond films. The exhibition also marks the 40th anniversary of the National Motor Museum. It will run until December. Adult tickets are currently priced at £10. Children under 14 can get in for £5.

Savannah Nicholls was there for a children’s charity event when she suddenly felt ill. Born on Christmas Day in 2005, she was found to have a rare form of leukaemia and only survived after her mother campaigned for a bone marrow donor. Since then, she has suffered related conditions, including meningitis, pneumonia and epilepsy before being diagnosed with cerebral palsy this year.

Her mother, Lisa, called for a taxi to take them to hospital, but prime ministerial aides offered the use of one of Cameron’s limos. Savannah ended up spending three days in hospital being treated for a severe chest infection.

There is now further good news for such business travellers in the form of Emirates’ ‘limo lounge’ at Heathrow’s Terminal 3. Here, business and first class travellers can stop in before being collected by their respective chauffeurs.

It is essentially a mini arrivals lounge, but one that is just 15m from where Emirates’ chauffeured cars arrive and leave. A spokesman for St Osmund’s Middle School said:

“The relay went really well. The children were dressed in the colours of the five Olympic rings and went in the limo to Dorchester Middle School. It was a really good day.”

An Olympic torch is passing through all the schools that feed Thomas Hardye School. Dorchester Middle School will take it there next. Before then, they are going to get the whole school involved. Each year group is going to wear one of the colours of the Olympic rings and they are going to form the Olympic rings in the playground.

Dorchester Middle School will however be spurning limos for their leg of the relay. Instead, there will be a Mexican wave type relay taking the torch to Thomas Hardye School.
