Luxury travel and private jet hire is on the rise

Monday, July 26th, 2010

According to American firm New Flight Charters, the private jet industry is booming again after a tough time during the global economic recession. The company reports a 76 per cent rise in private jet hire bookings compared to the same time last year.

It seems, then, that luxury transport is still important to both business and leisure travellers alike, which means that the chauffeur and luxury car hire industry is also benefiting. Travellers want the full package; to travel via private jet and then be whisked to their destination in a Mercedes chauffeur driven car, in a seamless, convenient and comfortable journey.

The main benefit of these private journeys is that there are no unnecessary delays or waiting around – the passenger gets to their destination in the shortest time possible. All of this speed doesn’t mean that comfort is forgotten though; after all, the sumptuous interiors and private space are the main reasons why chauffeur-driven luxury cars are so popular.

Although the combination of private jet and chauffeur-driven prestige car hire is usually preferred by the business sector, for travelling to and from meetings and hotels, Mark Bower from holiday site lastminute.com has reported that:

“…an increasing number of our customers are looking for luxury travel experiences. Private jet charter can be more cost-effective than many people think, especially for group travel or special occasions.”

Getting to or from the Southampton Docks in style

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

Southampton has the busiest cruise port in the UK and is home to the second largest container terminal in the UK.

It is a key distribution point for many different goods coming into Britain, and is close to the main international shipping lanes. It is less than 100 nautical miles from mainland Europe, and has 17 hours of high water a day due to a unique double-tide. This means that there can be more ships entering the port and departing from it during one day than at any other port in the country.

During the years in between the two World Wars, Southampton handled almost half of the passenger traffic in the UK. It is still home to many luxury cruise ships, and as such has people of all ages, statues and background entering the country here.

If you are coming into or departing from Southampton Docks for a cruise or any other reason, you should consider chauffeur hire to complete your luxury experience. That way you won’t have to worry about where to leave your car whilst you’re away, how to get there or indeed trying to find public transport.

A range rover chauffeur driven car would be a great solution: spacious, sturdy and snazzy, this vehicle will make you feel like you’re given the royal treatment. The chauffeur will help you with your bags, and will pick you up or drop you off to your destination.

Arriving at RAF Northolt is an exclusive way to travel that shouldn’t be left at the airport

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

RAF Northolt only allows 3,500 non-military flights every year. When compared to Heathrow’s 460,000, you can see that there are a limited number of seats available. This means, therefore, that arriving into London at RAF Northolt is an exclusive opportunity.

If you have travelled to the country in this kind of style, you should then be able to continue the same quality of transport when you get here. Waiting around at a taxi rank doesn’t hold the same impression.

A Maybach chauffeur driven car, on the other hand, will continue the elegant and elite appearance and treatment that you will have already received.

Your driver can be waiting at the airport, ready to take you to your destination, whether that is a hotel, business meeting or event. If your driver already has an itinerary, you will be able to sit back and enjoy the ride, knowing that you won’t have to give directions or addresses, or be expected to find the right change in your wallet.

Chauffeurs are generally well experienced in dealing with celebrities, politicians and royalty, so are calm, polite and professional, and are able to ensure your journey is as smooth and glitch free as possible.

Flying via Harrods Aviation? Top up the luxury with Bentley Chauffeur hire

Monday, May 24th, 2010

For any kind of business travel, three things are essential – efficiency, luxury and a fully personalised service. When picking up or dropping off VIP visitors or CEOs from other companies or sending your own people abroad, you always need to make the very best impression and ensure that the journey runs smoothly from start to finish.

Travel to and from a private airport

Arranging flights from private airports such as Harrods Aviation is just the first step; you then need to tailor the rest of the journey to the needs of your respected visitor or employee. This is where luxury car hire comes in, making the beginning and end of each journey as exceptional as the luxury flight itself.

When it comes to corporate car hire, you’ll find it difficult to top a Bentley chauffeur driven. Arranging this mode of transportation, your guest gets the whole package – a stunning prestige vehicle with every modern comfort available inside and a polite, professional chauffeur who knows exactly where he’s going and the best way to get there.

The end result? A smooth, efficient and comfortable journey from pick up to drop off.

Be chauffeured directly from RAF Northholt

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

RAF Northolt is a Royal Air Force station and it is about 6.2 miles north of London Heathrow Airport. It is a working Air Force Station, but also handles lots of private civilian flights, often for business trips.

It was opened in May of 1915 for the Royal Flying Corps and was an active base during World War Two. Soon after 1945, it became an important civilian airport, being served by Swissair, British European Airways, Aer Lingus and Scandinavian Airlines System.

In 1954, it reverted back to wholly military use, as the central are of Heathrow was opened, and all Airlines landed and took off from there. It has been used in the media, as a location in films and TV programmes, such as Goldfinger, Octopussy, Doctor Who and Red Dwarf.

You can fly into this well known airfield for your business trip, as the staff there are well used to having high profile corporate passengers. You will be treated professionally, politely and respectfully, and you can further this experience by hiring a chauffeur driven car to pick you up.

Being picked up from the airport in a Maybach chauffeur driven car will mean that your stylish journey can continue, and that you will be safely transported to your business destination, without having to worry about traffic, directions or timing. All of this can be taken care of for you.

Private jet is the best way to travel

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

For the jet setting businessman or celebrity, the only way to get from one end of the country to another in a short amount of time is to go by private jet. This may seem a little extravagant but it is the only way for you to get from one meeting to the other without spending huge amounts of time in the car or on a train.

Private jets and turbo prop aircrafts are operated from a number of different airports across the country so there will be one nearby that you can use. Your flight schedule will be worked around you so can accommodate anyone’s busy work or business commitments.

You can recline in your leather seat on board, whilst the staff serve you hot coffee, a brandy or a light bite. Sit back and enjoy the ride, whilst reading your newspaper or reading over your business papers. You will arrive at your destination feeling fresh and alert and ready to hit the ground running at your important business meeting.
